Deborah Ann Bernard
Deborah Ann Bernard, age 58, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026, at St. Joseph Medical Center, the same place she was born, on October 23, 1967. Debbie went to Heaven peacefully with her brothers, Michael and Patrick at her bedside.
She was a longtime resident of Trinity Services in New Lenox, IL, Salem Nursing Home in Joliet, IL, and most recently a resident of the Pearl of Joliet Nursing Home.
Debbie was baptized at Queen of Aposltes in Joliet and confirmed at her childhood home in Plainfield, IL, by Bishop Raymond James Vonesh.
She is survived by her parents, Emil & Doris Bernard of Sarasota, FL; her brothers, Daniel (Rie) Bernard of Naperville, IL, Michael (Theresa) Bernard of Kentland, IN, Patrick of Englewood, FL (Jennifer of Joliet, IL) Bernard, and Kevin (Pamela) Bernard of Abbeville, LA; thirteen nieces, and nephews; eleven great-nieces and nephews; uncle, Arthur "Fritz" Goebel of Naples, FL; cousins, Alison Shelton, Stuart Boesch, Eric Boesch, Dr. Kelly Goebel, PHD., Kurt (Ellen) Goebel.
Debbie is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Agnes Bernard; her maternal grandparents, Fritz Jr. and Frances Goebel; aunt, Susan Tyler and nephew, Skyler Daniel Bernard.
