Amy Katherine Webster Biro 4/15/1969 – 12/23/2025 Amy Katherine Webster Biro passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, after a courageous battle against cancer. She was surrounded in her final days and hours by family and close friends. Amy was born in Denver, Colorado on April 15, 1969. She graduated from Southwest High School (the Lakers) in Minneapolis, MN. She went on to study Political Science and Journalism at Ohio Wesleyan University graduating in 1991. She earned a Masters of Education degree at DePaul University in 1999. She taught children in grades K through 8 for nearly 30 years. Amy finished her formal career as an educator working at the Ricks Center for Gifted Children at Denver University for 12 years. After retiring from Ricks, she continued to teach, finding tremendous joy leading after-school yoga classes for children. Amy was a gifted and passionate educator. To her students, Amy was more than a teacher-she was a mentor, advocate, and steady presence. To parents, she was a trusted partner in their children's growth. To her colleagues, she was a collaborator and a source of wisdom and encouragement. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom walls and will continue to be felt for generations. Amy also loved animals and especially enjoyed caring for her dogs, chickens, fish and many other pets, finding comfort and fulfillment in their care and companionship. She was a devoted family member and a loyal friend, always present with a listening ear, thoughtful advice, or quiet support. She organized many family reunions over the years and helped several family members when they were in need. One of Amy's great virtues is she kept her friends close for her whole life. Those who knew her felt cared for, valued, and truly loved. Amy is survived by her husband, Tim Biro, her mother Carolyn Greer, stepfather Art Paulson, sister Elizabeth Valente, brother Bryan Webster, and numerous close family members; a nephew, nieces, uncles, and many cousins.
