Amy belonged to the Philadelphia Horticultural Society and her spectacular backyard container garden won several awards. She loved to travel and play tennis. Amy participated in many Philadelphia-area runs and bike rides to raise money for charitable causes. She completed the New York City Marathon twice.
She is survived by brother Jan Kitzen (Doris Abelson), sister Susan Kitzen (Dan Segal), nephews Jesse Kitzen-Abelson, Matthew Kitzen-Abelson (Ritnie Carnizzah), Ethan Oberman (Gabby), niece Lily Oberman (Devon), her wide circle of cherished friends and, of course, her adored Cairn Terrier, Truckee.
