Patrica A. Cheney

Patricia A. "Patti" Cheney passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 64. She was the beloved wife of Wayne Gilbert, with whom she shared nearly 11 years of marriage. She was the cherished sister of Francis Cheney.
Born in Philadelphia to her parents, Francis and Patricia Cheney, Patti was a proud graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School, Class of 1979. She went on to complete the X-Ray Technician program at Rolling Hill Hospital and began her career at Jefferson Hospital before spending 41 years with Cooper Cape Hospital.
Patti lived in Wildwood for most of her adult life, where she found joy in South Jersey. She loved cats, cheered passionately for the Phillies, and volunteered for the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. Patti will be remembered as a giving, loving, and generous person who touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Patti's Life Celebration will be held on Sunday October 19th, 2025 at the John F. Givnish Funeral home from 6 – 8 PM, and on Monday, October 20th, 2025 at Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115, from 9 – 10 AM with a Funeral Mass will follow at 10 AM. Interment services will be held at Holy Sepulchre, Cheltenham, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Women's Humane Society, 3839 Richlieu Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
