Robert Little Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John F Givnish Funeral Home - Academy Rd on Oct. 12, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Robert J. "Bob" Little, of Rockledge, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 75.
Bob was the beloved husband of Barbara (née Guy), with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Barbara Crawford (Kevin), Robert Little Jr. (Andrea), and Jean Marie Pope (Nicholas). Known lovingly as "Poppie," he adored his grandchildren: Olivia, Chase, Braeden, Juliet, Julian, Jocelyn, and Jude. He was a cherished brother to Marilyn Logan and John Little (Maryann), and is predeceased by his siblings James, Gerald, Catherine, Elizabeth, Lawrence, and Trudy.
Born and raised in the Juniata neighborhood of Philadelphia, Bob graduated from North Catholic High School in the Class of 1967. Soon after, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, stationed along the DMZ in Korea.
Following his service, Bob worked for the Keebler Company as a dough mixer, eventually rising to serve as a Union Negotiator. A dedicated labor advocate, he held leadership roles as Union Chairman of the BCTGM, Director of the BCTGM Retirees and was on the board of the American Bakery Workers Federal Credit Union.
Bob's passion for community led him to be an active member of many local organizations, including The American Legion, Columbia Club, Veterans Boxers Association, Polonia Club, Madison Club, Golden Eagle Golf Club, VFW Post 2, AOH, Hellraisers, and the Lost Legion. He enjoyed organizing and playing in Texas Hold'em and golf tournaments. He also organized the senior luncheon, where laughter and friendship we shared by all.
Bob was one of a kind - generous to a fault, unafraid to offer honest advice, and always ready to lend a hand. With his signature street smarts, quick wit, and big heart, he was known for saying, "There's a little larceny in everyone," a reminder of his playful nature and kind heart.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Family and friends are invited to Bob's Life Celebration on Tuesday, October 21st from 8 – 10 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. A funeral Mass will be held for Bob at 11 AM at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 535 Rhawn St, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Interment and military honors will be held for Bob at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Robert, please visit our floral store.
