Miguel Angel Espindola

Miguel Angel Espíndola, passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 62. Loving husband of Helen Jenkins. Beloved father of Gwendoline Desiree, Michelle Aline and Christian Espíndola. Grandfather of Gisela Fernanda, Miguel Angel, Alejandro and Diego Emilio. Brother of Jose Antonio, Luis Alberto, Hector Alfonso, Carlos Arturo, Maria Alejandra and Juan Manuel. He was the son of the late Jose Antionio and Guillermina Espíndola. "Champ" Miguel was a champion in life, accepting every challenge that came his way. He started his professional career at the age of 16. As a first-class International Horse Jockey he achieved his goal of bringing honor to the Espíndola name and his beloved homeland of Mexico. With a unique riding style, he set multiple winning records, that included stakes level. He was a mentor as a Jockey's Guild representative providing guidance, support and encouragement in the jockey community. Miguel's true dedication was his love for his family and in the friendships he made, many lifelong. (Affectionately calling most "Jerry") He was selfless and loyal, never expecting or accepting anything in return. He lived by the reflection – "If it is within my hands, I will do it for you" Cooking was a passion that made Miguel happy to share with those he loved and anyone in need. It was always "made with love".
His loving journey with Helen was full of mutual devotion, Miguel always the protector. Sadly, he has crossed this finish line too soon, but Miguel's wit, humor and unwavering love will always live in our hearts. Te queremos mucho y te extranaremos siempre (We love you very much and we will always miss you).
Relatives and friends are invited to Miguel's Life Celebration Wednesday October 22, 2025 John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home 10975 Academy Rd. Phila.
