With profound love and immeasurable sorrow, we announce the passing of Amy Marie Latorre, who departed this world on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Born and raised in
Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Amy was a cherished daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend whose radiant spirit lifted every heart she touched. Her infectious smile, boundless warmth, and unmistakable love for life made every room brighter the moment she entered it.
To those who knew her, Amy was-and will always be-our Warrior Princess. Throughout her life, she faced significant and ongoing medical challenges that could have claimed even the strongest spirits. Yet Amy met each obstacle with a positive mindset, unwavering determination, and a perseverance that defined who she was. Even when life tried to take her peace, her certainty, her body, or her time, Amy refused to bow to hardship. Instead, she rose-again and again-choosing courage, grace, and joy.
Amy did not fight her battles alone. She stood surrounded by a devoted circle of family and friends who walked beside her, supported her, and loved her fiercely through every chapter. Her sister, Lisa Latorre, took the lead in Amy's fight-advocating for her, standing firmly by her side, and carrying her with unwavering strength, love, and determination. Together with their family and close friends, Lisa formed a foundation of support that helped Amy face each challenge with dignity and resolve.
Amy's resilience inspired all who witnessed it, reminding us that strength is not the absence of struggle, but the courage to keep showing up. Her legacy is one of resilience, humility, and fierce love. She taught us that joy is a practice, hope is a discipline, and kindness is a gift freely given. She believed life was meant to be lived boldly and joyfully-without excuses, without guilt, without shame, and always with a smile.
Amy is survived by her beloved father, Narciso Latorre; her sister, Lisa Latorre and brother Allen Latorre; her cherished nieces, Zoe Latorre Rodriguez, Shirley Latorre, Natalie Latorre, Emmy Latorre, and Mya LaRocco, and nephew, Tyler Latorre along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Amy's light remains with us-guiding us, inspiring us, and reminding us to live each day with the same courage and joy she carried so effortlessly.
Amy Marie Latorre will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
