Amy Leck was born Amy Louine Collins to the late Lillian and Earle Collins on August 6th, 1941. Amy graduated from Marblehead High School in 1960 and briefly attended Plymouth State College in New Hampshire. In 1961 she was married to Donald Wilkinson and had two sons, Steven Wilkinson, now of Breckenridge Colorado and the late Donald R. Wilkinson of Nahant. She leaves two grandsons, Robert and Morgan Wilkinson, a daughter-in-law, Karen Wilkinson, a stepson Donnie Leck and a brother Richard Collins who is still grieving the loss of his wonderful brother David just two months earlier. In 1982 Amy married Donald Leck of Beverly. The couple took over the Marblehead family homestead in 1990. Sadly, Amy's husband passed away in 2013. Amy continued to reside at the homestead until 2000 when she moved in with her brother Richard living in Georgetown. During the last four years she regularly accompanied him on Sundays as they worshipped at West Church in Haverhill.
Through the years Amy was very active in corresponding with many people providing comfort to others, some nearly complete strangers. She was an incessant card writer and cheerleader for the weak and disenfranchised, even those in prison. She was also proud of the success that her two sons had achieved in their lives. Amy will be missed by her brother Richard who cared for her in the last four years of her life. He recalls fun times in his childhood when Amy frightened him and his brother with the "Gypsy-Cursy" ring that was supposed to cast a spell on them. He and his brother also eavesdropped on many a slumber party where there were plenty of shenanigans taking place. Another fond memory is camping at Sebago Lake State Park. Amy leaves many friends behind who will also miss her dearly.
Her funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Amy's name to MSPCA at www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/nevins-farm-adoption-center.

My condolences to Amy's family for your loss. Although I never knew Amy well in high school, my memory of her was one of a sweet girl who always had a smile and a cheerful hello for you. Amy was a Day Brightener.
From Amy's classmate, Judy (Goodwin) O'Leary.

I didn't know Amy well, but we were in the same class...MHS Class of '60. It's sad to hear that she passed away. May God rest her soul. Bob Newman
