Amy Riski Obituary

Amy Bowen Riski passed away on October 31, 2023, at 97, on her wedding anniversary to her beloved husband, Bill. Born in 1926, just before the resurgence of the Spanish flu, Amy's early life was marked by loss. However, she thrived under the loving care of her Artman grandparents in Caldwell, Ohio. Her boundless gratitude and chronic happiness defined her spirit, inspiring everyone around her.Amy embarked on a journey that took her from the band halls of Caldwell High School to Ohio Wesleyan University and finally to Cleveland, where she lovingly raised her three children at the "Riski Ranch" in Wickliffe, Ohio. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wickliffe. Amy's homemade nut rolls, jelly rolls, and corn fritters became legendary and created cherished memories for her family.During her adventurous years, Amy traveled the world with Bill, visiting various locations in Europe, the beaches of Florida, and crossing the US and Canada. She had a strong passion for reading, admired Queen Elizabeth, and shared a love of Broadway plays with her children.Amy's caring nature extended to her children, William A. Riski (Laura) of Dataw Island, South Carolina; Betty Pinto (Vince) of Willowick, Ohio; and Richard J. Riski (Cheryl) of Port Angeles, Washington. Her love enveloped her grandchildren: Jennifer Tice (Joe), Beth Riski, Mike Pinto (Jennifer), Matt Pinto (Kerry), and Alden Riski. Her six great-grandchildren, Cadence, Caitlin, Hayden, Quinn, Jacob, Caleb, and Connor, were the joy of her later years. Amy is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her two brothers, Don and Bob.Amy's kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on her loved ones and community. She will be deeply missed.Amy will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bill, at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Caldwell, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
