Andre Creaig, fondly referred to as Dre by loved ones, passed away on July 5, 2024. Born on July 11, 1960, in Camden, NJ. Andre attended Camden City Public Schools. He graduated from Camden High School Class of seventy-nine. He then attended Camden County College. Andre served in US Army for some time. He worked as a Chef at restaurants in Philadelphia. He moved to Philadelphia where he resided at his time of passing.A charismatic and funny figure, Andre was known for his infectious laughter and his generous spirit that touched the hearts of many. His courage was evident in every aspect of his life, inspiring those around him.
His love for cooking was not confined to his professional life; he relished cooking and eating good food in his personal life as well. Andre's passion was not limited to the kitchen - he had a keen interest in riding bikes and repairing bikes, a hobby that brought him joy. Andre was also a man of style who loved dressing well. Andre's mother taught him "that you never get a second chance to make a first impression". Although Andre was known to be a devout muslim. Andre gave his life back to Christ, during his time of affliction. He fought and conquered many battles through all his ailments He continued to fight; however on July 5th his battle was won God called him home to eternal rest.
Andre is survived by his children, Nicole Young, Andre Creaig Jr, Tamika Young, Maquise Best, Sharon Mayes, Jahsaan Mayes(Teresa Banks), Zyair Mayes, Amir Mayes and Myesha Mayes, along with his brother, Pierre Creaig (Karen Creaig), Niece Victoria Creaig. A host of grandchildren, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andre Gilson and Florence Harvey.
