Andre Lazell Walton

Andre Lazell Walton was born on October 10, 1972, in Banning, California, to Ozell Walton and Barbara Ann Thomas. He was educated in the Riverside County school system. Andre was a devoted member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Banning.

In 1995, Andre met the love of his life, Tammy Stormer, and the two were united in marriage in 2001 in Riverside, California. Andre worked faithfully as a construction worker, specializing in building golf courses, before relocating to North Carolina. There, he served as a supervisor at Fayetteville Metropolitan Airport and later as a janitorial supervisor at Norwood Temple.

Andre was a man devoted to family. He especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, and when he wasn't with them, you could often find him enjoying a good game of sports.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Tammy Walton of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Jazmin M. Booth Walton (fiancé Anthony White) of Raeford, NC; son, Te'Andre L. Walton (wife Tyresha Walton) of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Haley Scarborough, Sencere A. Walton, and Samir A. Walton; father-in-law, Otha Stormer; as well as a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Andre was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Thomas; his father, Ozell Walton; his sister, Rosemary Hartwell; and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Stormer.

Andre's life was a testament to love, hard work, and family devotion. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service is honored to assist the family of Mr. Andre Lazell Walton.
