Pathway-Millard Family Funeral ChapelAndrea “Ande” Kay Spears, 74, of Moberly, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Arbors in Moberly.
Ande was born on September 18, 1950, in Moberly, MO, to Mildred and Lester “Stan” Strawn. She graduated from Moberly High School and later from Northeast Missouri State University in 1973 with a degree in Special Education. In 1973, she accepted a position as a Special Ed Teacher at Moberly Senior High School where she worked for more than 32 years. She was united in marriage to Mike Spears on July 3, 1979, in Las Vegas.
She enjoyed trail rides, her dogs, and teaching all her students. Her family will always remember her for her smile and kind personality.
Ande is preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Mildred Strawn; sister and brother-in-law, Vickye and Vernon Head; and husband, Mike.
She is survived by her niece, Ginger (Ben) Albright, of Moberly, MO; great niece, Paige Albright, of Moberly, MO; great nephew, Adrian Albright, of Moberly, MO; great-great niece Reese Oehrle, of Moberly, MO; great-great nephew, Julian Johnston, of Moberly, MO; and cousin, Ron (Marilyn) Slaughter, of Sunrise Beach, MO.
A Memorial Service celebrating Ande’s life has been scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
