Geneva Mae Spears

Geneva Mae Spears, age 92, a longtime Longtown, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, May 31, 1933, to Claude and Ora Lee (Gordon) Maupins, at Jonesboro, AR. Geneva passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Eufaula, OK. She attended school in Paragould, AR and Kennett, MO. Geneva was a housewife and homemaker first and also worked in restaurant businesses as a cook and management. She married Virgil Spears on in 1989 in Fayetteville, AR. They celebrated over 36 years together before her passing. Geneva was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Christ Foundation Church in Longtown. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing computer games, fishing, was very good at crocheting, loved her animals, her special one was "Digger", her little dog.
Geneva is survived by her husband, Virgil Spears of the home in Longtown, OK; sons, Wesley Simmons of MO, Ronnie Dale Dawson and wife Mary of Russellville, AR; daughter, Geneva Wallace of Paragould, AR; step daughters, Mary Ann Kelly and husband Michael of Stockton, CA, Cheryl Fultz and husband Dean of Billings, MT, Debra Middleton and husband Kevin of Lodi, CA, Diana Garcia and husband Carlos of Stockton, CA; step sons, Howard Spears of Niles, MI, Virgil Dean Harold Spears of Eufaula, OK; special granddaughter, Samantha Morris and Timmy Britt of Jonesboro, AR; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ora Lee (Gordon) Maupins; sons, Larry Dawson, James Simmons, Lesley Simmons.
