Andrea Lucas, 64, passed away on October 2, 2025, in Plano, Texas. She was born November 6, 1960, at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, to Melvin Richard and Doris Mae Pritchett Metcalf.

Andrea spent her early years as a proud “military brat,” traveling with her family wherever the Air Force led them. On November 14, 1978, she married the love of her life, David Lucas. Together they built their life in Mesquite and Canton before settling in Grand Saline twenty years ago.

She worked many years as a bookkeeper before earning her bachelor’s degree in education. Andrea was a member of Caney Creek Cowboy Church and cherished her role as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Richard Metcalf.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, David Paul Lucas of Grand Saline; mother, Doris Mae Metcalf of Grand Saline; two sons, David Paul Lucas II of Grand Saline, and Dallas Brian Lucas (Lisa Marie) of Grand Saline; sister, Teresa Bailey of Grand Saline; one grandchild, Nikolas Orion Lucas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
