Andrew Steven Bolam

Andrew Steven Bolam "Drew" of Howell, passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 29. Born on February 2, 1994, in Howell, Michigan, Drew grew up in a loving home with his parents, Robert and Pamela Bolam, and his sister Amanda.
Drew was a proud graduate of Cheryl Stockwell Preparatory Academy, where he completed his high school education in 2012. His thirst for knowledge and his passion for understanding the complexities of the world led him to Michigan State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, where he was in the fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha. Drew's academic achievements were only the beginning of a life marked by intellectual curiosity and a commitment to justice.
Professionally, Drew found his calling as a paralegal, a role in which he excelled due to his analytical mind and detail-oriented nature. His colleagues respected him for his intelligence and his ability to dissect and understand intricate legal documents. Drew's work was not just a job; it was a reflection of his desire to make a positive impact within the legal system. Due to this, Drew had ambitions to go further his education to become a lawyer.
Outside of his professional life, Drew's interests were varied and rich. He was a sports enthusiast, a movie buff, and a hunter. Any chance he had, he visited the family cottage in Grayling, where he found peace in the great outdoors. Drew's love for debate (or as his sister likes to call "arguing") was well-known; he could often be found engaging in spirited discussions on a range of topics, always eager to share his insights.
A man of many talents, Drew was also an excellent cook. His Thai dishes were particularly renowned among his friends and family. Additionally, he was always a helping hand during holiday cooking. His culinary skills were just one of the many ways Drew expressed his love for those around him.
Drew was a loving son, a protective brother, a devoted boyfriend, and a loyal friend. Those who knew him will remember his loving nature, his intelligence, and his analytical approach to life. He had the rare ability to combine warmth with wisdom, making him a cherished presence in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Drew's life is left to be celebrated and cherished by his loving parents, Pam and Robert Bolam; his sister, Amanda (Michael) Markley; his girlfriend, Linzie Potts; grandparents, Donna Harp and Robert Bolam; and so many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Harp, and his grandmothers, Linda Michell and Donna Bolam, all of whom he held dear in his heart.
A visitation for Drew will be held 10AM-2PM Sunday, January 28th at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave, Howell, MI. A funeral service will follow at 2PM. To celebrate Drew's love for sports, the family asks everyone to wear a sports shirt or jersey. If you choose to wear Maize and Blue, on behalf of Drew, you will be asked to leave. Of course, that is just joking. Go Green, Go White!
