Andrew "Andy" William Conner, 52, passed away quietly on December 9, 2024, while surrounded by his family.
Andy was born on April 11, 1972, to William and Paula Conner. William had preceded Andy in death. He is survived by his son Isaiah Conner, mother and his sisters, Susanne (Keith) Baughman, Joyanne McKinney, and Marianne (Scott) Rouse; nieces and nephews, Christian McKinney, Ashlea Baughman, Becca Baughman, Nathan McKinney, CJ Baughman, William Lloyd, and Elizabeth McKinney.
Andy graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1991. He played on the high school soccer team. Andy had lots of friends in high school which turned into lifelong friends. He was often there for his friends to encourage them and to just listen to them. They were also always there for him.
Andy was an avid bowler. He was known to have several bowling balls at any point in time in his life. He started bowling at a young age and continued to bowl until he was unable to do so. He had become an accomplished bowler and had many high scores. Bowling was something he enjoyed doing with his dad, grandfather, uncles, and friends.
As Andy's health declined, he went to live at Brownsburg Meadows. As per his personality, Andy made many friends. He was often found calling Bingo for the Activities Department as he loved to be an encourager to others. He was not one to stay in his room and would often be found walking around the nursing home visiting other residents and being an encourager to them. He was an advocate not only for his health, but for others health as well. He also was able to joke with others and helped them feel special. He was known to bring others joy and put a smile on their faces.
The most important thing in Andy's life was his son, Isaiah. He was a stay-at-home dad throughout prior to Isaiah going to kindergarten. This formed a bond between them that was unbreakable. Andy would always encourage Isaiah to be the best he could be. He loved watching his son play soccer and was proud of him. He would always tell others that he would do anything for his son. His love for Isaiah was greater than anything else in his life.
Andy was well loved by all who knew him due to his contagious personality. He cared deeply for his friends and families.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am, December 16, 2024, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Memorial gifts can be made to Isaiah's college fund.
