Andrew George DeVere Jr, age 35 of Broadview Heights, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
He was born on September 16, 1989 in Parma, Ohio and is the beloved son of Donna M. Wentz and Andrew G. DeVere Sr. (deceased). Dearest grandson of the late Pauline P. (nee Penska) and Donald C. Wentz. Andrew is survived by his sister Andrea Murphy (Jack Salem); his two nieces whom he called his “Little Ladies” Rylee Salem and Jocelyn Salem as well as his halfbrothers, David (deceased) and Michael DeVere and his half-niece Paris DeVere.
He is survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Andrew was a 2008 graduate of North Royalton High School and attended Cuyahoga Valley Career Center for Digital Design. He obtained a career in HVAC and further pursued his passion in culinary arts where he was a chef at multiple restaurants during his career.
Over his lifetime, Andrew had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed chess and his notorious quote was “I will have you in checkmate in 4 moves”. Andrew was a military history buff, automobile enthusiast and took pride in his cars. In addition, he enjoyed photography, BMX biking, skateboarding, paintball, video games and jet-skiing. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. One of his greatest joys was accompanying his dad to the Cleveland National Airshows. His favorite pastimes were attending family gatherings and cooking for his family. Most importantly, Andrew was truly a kind hearted individual with a pure heart of gold.
