Andrew Engert Obituary

Andrew was a 2015 graduate of Riverside High School in Painesville. He then went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Bowling Green State University. After graduating, he moved back to the Cleveland area to pursue a job in accounting.
Andrew had a love for sports. He grew up playing basketball and baseball, and in his adult years loved going to many Cleveland sporting events with friends and family. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, playing video games, and visiting family. Andrew loved the summer time and enjoyed hanging out by the pool at his parent's house, he also loved his family's dogs and attempted numerous times to train them.
Andrew is the beloved son of Robert Jr. and Patricia (nee Krause); loving brother of Melissa and Daniel; grandson of Robert Engert Sr.; nephew and cousin to many. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Sally (nee Coyne) Engert, Alfred Krause, Martha (nee Look) Krause.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 25, 2024 at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Ave., in Painesville. Burial will take place at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
The family will receive friends at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby on Wednesday April 24, 2024 from 4-8 pm.

Andrew was in the younger group of us cousins, but because he was pretty good at sports/video games he was always able to fit in with no problem. Andrew was good to have on your team and fun to play games with.
With all the kids running around like crazy during holiday parties, andrew was always a calming presence. Usually a sports game would be on and we'd talk about sports or life in general for a bit.
I'll miss you my man. We all love and miss you

I've known Andrew since Kindergarten at Our Shepherd... He was so kind, sweet & always had a smile on his face. I'll never forget my first detention was with Andrew & Zach VanPelt for singing "Baby Bulaga" on the bus lol. And going onto High School together at Riverside.. I hope you're happy in Heaven bud. I'll miss you!!!

Played basketball with Andrew and he had a 3 point shot that would swoosh in the net like nobody else's. I wanted him on my team. And if i was playing against him i never wanted to leave him open. Rest in peace, Andrew.

I had the privilege working in the same department with Andrew. It sadness me that he is gone. I will keep the family in my prayers.
