In loving memory of Andrew Jackson Foster V
December 11, 1961 – July 5, 2025

Known to friends and family as Andy, he was a beloved father, brother, and faithful son of God. Andy had his heart in the sky-he was fascinated by aviation, and his life journey followed it closely. From joining the Michigan and Texas Air National Guard in college, to pursuing aviation mechanics at LeTourneau University, to peacefully building model aircraft at home.

He is survived by his five children-Audrey, Andrew VI, Jeremiah, Timothy, and Benjamin-as well as his siblings Timothy, Faith, and Dan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew II and Berta Foster, as well as his brother Johannes.

Andy lived a life full of movement and adventure. No one place could keep him grounded. He explored much of Europe with his friends on sport bikes, hitchhiked through Alaska, and took countless "Adventure Time" road trips with his family. He made having a big van cool all on his own. He was a tinkerer at heart-from RC cars and mountain bikes to computers and digital landscapes. If it could be customized, it should be. His curiosity and hands-on approach inspired others to pursue knowledge and self-reliance.

A man of faith, Andy knew God and lived according to his convictions. He believed there was no end to the pursuit of knowledge and the drive to understand how the world works. He encouraged others to take initiative rather than wait for someone else to lead the way.

No words encapsulate this better than the simple phrase he often quoted: Carpe diem.

May he rest in peace with his Heavenly Father.

He will be laid to rest on July 29, 2025, in Azle, Texas, beside his late brother Johannes.

Andrew will have a graveside service on Tuesday, July 29th, at 10:00 AM at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park, located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, Texas 76020.
