WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Andrew H. Gonzalez, age 53, of Waterbury, share the news of his passing on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Saint Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Robin Bouchard- Gonzalez.
Andrew was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on September 3rd, 1971, the son of Julio Gonzalez and Mary (Macomber) Gonzalez. He spent his formative years in Clinton, MA before moving to Waterbury, where he dedicated himself to a fulfilling career as a window repairman in the construction industry. He loved camping, fishing, drawing, watching minions, and he was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. He also was a very skilled craftsman and loved to build new things. He loved his family more than anything, especially spending time with his children. Andrew's warmth, sense of humor, and steadfast love for his family he will be profoundly missed. His legacy of kindness and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
Besides his parents, Julio and Mary and his loving wife Robin, left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Emilia Gonzalez of Naugatuck, his grandchildren, Pnut, Kimon and Shylinn, his son-in- law, Jay Coleman and his partner Sara Bouchard, his sons Richard Bouchard and his wife Nicole of Waterbury, Alexander and James Gonzalez of MA, his siblings; Linda Ciccone and her husband Richard of MA and Alicia Gonzalez of Florida, his nieces, Allison Bedard- Day, Kayla Guzman and Yannaliz Chacon, his nephews, Albert Bedard and Daniel Guzman, and his great- niece, Abigail LeBlanc. He also leaves behind many other extended family members and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life in Andrew’s honor will be planned at a later date. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence or words of comfort or share a memory of someone important to you with your family and friends.
