Andrew Ryan Kallas, born July 14th, 1966, passed away on March 19th, 2025, at UCSF due to complications of prostate cancer. He was 58 years old.
Andy is survived by his two beautiful children, Ashten and Jorja; his mom, Glenda Kallas; his aunt, Leanne McConnell; and his siblings, Ed Kallas, Kelli Messegee, James Kallas and Corrie Ihrke. Andy was preceded in death by his father Edward Kallas and biological mother Denise McConnell Kallas.
Andy has a masters degree in special education and is a published author. He worked as a Special Needs teacher at Sonoma Elementary for the past 10 years. Prior to Sonoma Elementary he worked roughly 10 years at California Avenue, in Riverbank. He was a cherished teacher, co-worker and friend.
Andy enjoyed all things sports. At various times during his lifetime, he played baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, bowled in leagues, and golfed. But Andys most favorite hobby was being a dedicated Dad. He never missed an event with his children, he bowled with his oldest and golfed with his youngest. Andy was his childrens biggest supporter.
