Andrew Tettey Lartey
Andrew T. Lartey was born on 6th February 1977 in Korle Gonno, Accra to Seth Akuffo Lartey and Patience Dedei Lartey. His arrival brought great joy to the family as he announced his earthly presence with such a broad smile. This was destined to be his personality for his entire life. Andrew was indeed loved by all, and out of affection had several names notably: Tettey by family affiliates and Lasto by peers and colleagues.
Andy attended Nungua Secondary School and later continued at Accra Academy from 1990 to 1997 for his O’ level and A’ level courses. Upon the successful completion of his secondary education, he gained admission into the University of Cape Coast for his degree programme. He also pursued the professional accounting course; ACCA in fulfilment of his desire to become an International Financial Analyst.
Andrew Lartey was baptized and confirmed at the Mount Zion Methodist Church Korle Gonno where both parents were and are still prominent and active members. In his early teens, he enrolled as a member of the Boys Brigade; were he as a result of his smart outlook became a delight to watch especially during company drills and march passes attracting loud applauses.
Andy was a gentleman by all standards and will always pay great attention to his looks and appearance. For him, first impressions count a lot, and he will never miss any opportunity to make his presence count at any event. Indeed, if the world ever needed an Entertainment Prefect, Andy would stand a shoulder above several. His relational skills extended to all, beyond class, race or social standing. We all just agree that he enjoyed his life on earth to the fullest.
Andrew passed on into internal glory on 16th March 2024 in Maryland, USA after a short illness.
He is survived by a daughter, Naa Kowah.
May his Soul Rest In Perfect Peace. Amen
