Andrew Geoffrey Leavins, age 56, was born August 23, 1968, and entered safely into the arms of Jesus February 21, 2025. Andrew graduated from Walton Sr. High School, class of '86. Upon graduation, he enrolled at Gulf Coast College where he received an A.A. degree. He later attended Florida State University before moving to Dothan and enrolling at Troy University, Dothan, where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Marketing. Andrew's professional career was spent primarily in the fitness and nutrition industries working in Florida, Texas, Arizona and California before moving back to his family residence in Westville, Florida.
During high school, Andrew developed a strong interest in weightlifting and body building, an interest shared by his twin brother, David. Both brothers carried that interest into their adult lives, working as personal trainers and winning many trophies as competitive body builders.
Andrew received Jesus as his personal Savior and was baptized at Northside Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, Florida. In recent years he attended services at Westville Baptist Church.
Andrew is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Andrew Jack Leavins.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Marjorie Hood Leavins; twin brother, David Gerald Leavins; sister, Emily Evelyn Leavins; niece, Gabrielle Adora Leavins; and special cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, at Westville Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior. Committal services will follow at Hickory Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins of Bonifay.
