Andrew was born on April 22, 1992 in South Boston, MA. He attended Gate of Heaven Grammar School then went on to graduate high school from Brook Farm Academy. Andrew went on to study at Framingham State University. Growing up he was active in South Boston youth sports hockey, boxing, soccer and football. Andrew developed a love of boxing at the age of 11 and he began training at O'Malley's/ Farrell's Boxing Club in Quincy, MA with Head trainer Jimmy Farrell. He later became a long-time member of the South Boston Boxing Club and USA Boxing where he successfully competed in many local and regional boxing tournaments including the New England Golden Gloves tournaments. Andrew often spoke of his gratitude for the countless hours he spent with his trainers Jimmy Farrell, Steve Maze, Gene Laurence and John Curren. One of Andrew's favorite past times was spending summers on Lake Winnipesaukee with his dad, boating, fishing and enjoying the lake life for over 30 years. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a US Army Combat Veteran having served in the 1ST Infantry Division as a weapons repair specialist. Andrew was deployed overseas and served during Operation Enduring Freedom. Andrew was employed at the Veteran's Administration in West Roxbury and deeply involved in Veterans Affairs. He was a kind, compassionate and loving young man with an amazing sense of humor. His greatest passion was music as he enjoyed all genres with a wide appreciation for it all. Andrew's presence, laughter and bright smile will be missed deeply by all his family and friends.

When Andrew was 15, he and two friends came up to Maine with my grandson Will on a July 4th weekend
They had a great time swimming, watching fireworks and parades, and more swimming. Andrew was polite, lively, and fun to be around. We are very saddened about his passing
Our condolences to Andrew's mom, dad, and family. Bill and Linda Murdock, Nobleboro, Maine

Tommy and Noreen,
I am so sorry to hear of Andrew´s passing. I hadn´t seen Andrew in years, but I remember him fondly as a young child. He was always such a happy boy. Please know that I am praying for his soul to be back with His sisters and other family members who have gone before him.

Andrew, you are gone too soon and will be greatly missed by your family. You had a good sense of humor, usually sprinkled with a touch of sarcasm. Safe travels to your next destination
