Andrew "Andy" Eugene Mason, 50, of Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Vitas Hospice in Panama City, Florida.
Mr. Mason was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on June 23, 1974 to Eugene L. Mason and the late Carol Clark Mason.
He was a 1993 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Georgia Southern University. He worked at Segraves Sound Center, along side his brother, Jeff Mason and his father, Eugene Mason. Later, he moved to Panama City Beach, Florida, where he lived for the past 21 years. He was in the restaurant and bar business. Even though he left Fitzgerald in his late twenties, he continued his relationship with his childhood and adult friends. Only a few months ago, his brother and he purchased Bill's Place in Fitzgerald where he hoped to return one day. The love of his life were his two nephews, Dylan Mason and Logan Mason. Anyone who met Andy loved him for his generosity, nonjudgmental ability, kindness, and his down to earthiness. He was a T-shirt loving and fun-loving fella with the best hugs ever and his nickname says it all, "Andy-Pandy". A friend to all. He will be remembered for his friendly personality, his love of cars, stereos, New Orleans trips, and his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include his father, Eugene Mason (Lydia Jay Mason), of Fitzgerald, Georgia ; Brother Jeff Mason of Panama City Beach, FL; Sister-in-law Susie Reaves Mason and nephew Logan Mason, both of Fitzgerald, Georgia and Dylan Mason (Averi Hutchinson), of Milledgeville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his precious mother, Carol Clark Mason; his grandparents Sid Clark and Marie Stanley Clark of Lyons, Georgia and Eugene Mason and Ernestine Segraves Mason of Warner Robins, Georgia.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial, may do so for the Prayer Garden, First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 367, Fitzgerald, Georgia 31750.
