Andrew Ryan Medina

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Andrew Ryan Medina, a beloved son, brother, and friend who left us far too soon. Andrew, 36, departed this world on January 11th, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration that will forever echo in the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his parents Leah and Jason Holland, and David and Sandra Medina, and his cherished siblings Jacque, Danielle, Jordan, Leila, Julian and Sailor. He joins his sister Alexsis Medina, who preceded him in death, in eternal peace.
Andrew was a man of boundless curiosity; he was a world traveler, aviation enthusiast, and culinary epicurean, collecting memories wherever he went. Stories of his adventures were captivating and full of joy. His laughter was infectious, his kindness abundant, and he was blessed with empathy and an unparalleled ability to make those around him feel special.
Andrew, a person who could light up a room with his smile, and someone whose presence made life better, brightened otherwise ordinary events into extraordinary experiences. He made meals to feed his community, shared his interests to spark joy in others, and offered encouragement, support, and a listening ear.
An aviation enthusiast, Andrew's eyes would light up at the sight of a plane soaring through the sky. His passion for flight was more than a hobby; it was a symbol of his adventurous spirit and his unrelenting desire to explore the world. Andrew embraced life's journey with unbridled enthusiasm and an open heart, anywhere he was in the world.
A celebration of Andrew's life will be held in Colorado Springs, where all are invited and welcome to attend the following events at Angelus Chapel, 1104 S Circle Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80910:
Viewing and celebration of life: Thursday, January 30, 4:00PM-7:00PM.
Funeral service: Friday, January 31, 11:00AM (Burial to follow at 2:00PM at nearby Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80903).
