Andrew (Andy) Nicholas Perl, age 72, of Elkhart Lake, WI, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on August 3, 2024. He was born on March 25, 1952, in Sheboygan, to the late Jerome and LaVerne (Krutzik) Perl. Andy attended St. Anna Grade School, St. Lawrence Seminary and Kiel High School.
On May 18, 1974, Andy married Carol Feldmann at St. George Catholic Church. They resided in the St. Anna area, where they built their home together. Over the years, he was employed with Stoelting, United States Postal Service, Tecumseh, and Derby.
As a young man, Andy was an avid racecar fan and drag raced at WIR in his '69 Corvette. Over the past decade, he could be found at multiple local racetracks, drag strips and Road America still enjoying the sport. Andy was a man of many talents; his invaluable help always kept him busy with one project or another. He enjoyed snowmobiling, road trips, a variety of literature, motorcycling, and auction "treasure" hunting. Above all, Andy relished time spent with his grandchildren.
Andy is survived by Carol, his wife of 50 years, and their children, Melissa (Jacob) Kowalski of Fond du Lac, Bryan (Maria) Perl of Fond du Lac, and Jason (Sarah) Perl of Kiel.
Nine Grandchildren: Nathaniel and Maximilian Kowalski; Emma and Nicolas Perl; and Taylor, Logan, Carter, Aliyah, and Jaxson Perl; Siblings: Linda Bauman of Kiel; Tom Perl of Elkhart Lake; Jim Perl of Rochester, New Hampshire; and Donna (Tony) Wedig of Glenbeulah; Siblings-in-Law: Roger (Mary) Feldmann of Wauwatosa; Kathy (Frank) Seil of Plymouth; and Keith (Sue) Feldmann of Denver, Colorado
Additional relatives including several nieces and nephews and countless friends he met along the way who will all honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and LaVerne Perl; an infant brother, Joseph Perl; parents-in-law, Robert and Joyce Feldmann; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Janice Knecht; Uncle Fr. Norman Krutzik and additional uncles and aunts.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 14, at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4 pm to 6 pm with a prayer service to follow at 6 pm. Cremation has taken place and interment is planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Andy's name.
