Andrew Gavyn Perry

Andrew "Gavyn" Perry, 25, of Logan, WV passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at CAMC General, Charleston, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV with Pastor Sherman Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. He was born January 13, 2000 at Huntington, WV, a son of Andrew Scott Perry of Dunlow, WV and Betty Kathleen Lucas Perry (Ben Wiley) of Wayne. Gavyn was such a wonderful soul with a huge heart, that was taken too soon. He worked for Asplundh Tree Service and coached his son's football team. Gavyn was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Merrill "D-Boy" Lucas and Andrew Jackson Perry. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by the love of his life, his fiancée, Brigette Duncan; their son, Andrew Blake Perry of Logan; another son, Mason Levi Marcum of Logan; a sister, Hannah Perry (Tyler Perry) of Wayne, WV; three brothers, Jayden Herald (Brooklyn) of Wayne, Braden Herald of Fort Gay, WV and Conner Wiley of Wayne; his grandmothers, Gladys Lucas and Joan Perry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy and Sandy Duncan; his uncle and aunts, Merrill "Bub" Lucas, Marlena Adams and Stephanie McMillen; special cousins that were raised as his siblings, Billy, Buzz, Harmony, Samantha, Thomasina, Trey, Emily and Tyler; nieces and nephews, Charley, Jackson, Dottie, Abel, Axel and Brooklyn; special friends, K.J. Mills (Tori), Nathaniel Hamilton, Shane Bryant and Jacob Ray; and so many other friends and loved ones that would be impossible to name. Gavyn knew no stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 Tuesday at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne.
