Andrew Franklyn Sarratore

Andrew F. Sarratore, 85, of Niles passed away on April 12, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Niles, Michigan to the late Frank J. Sarratore and Mildred (Ball) Johnson Sarratore Rokop.
Andrew married Beverly Jane Wright at a ceremony in Niles on February 16, 1963.
He served four years in the US Army from 1957-1961. When returning home he worked at Orchard Hills Country Club as a grounds keeper then to Durant Insulated Pipe company in Niles, and his last place of work, Clark Equipment where he retired.
Andy was a big outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing. He loved helping people and getting on his John Deere tractor and mowing grass in the summertime and blowing snow in the wintertime. When he was all done and it was time for a cold one, he would wait for his buddies to come over and share some cold ones in the gazebo.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly J. Sarratore, a daughter, Connie (Sarratore) Brown, sister-in-law, Stacey Sarratore, sister, Carol Sarratore, half-brothers, Thomas Johnson and Dean Johnson.
Andrew is survivied by his son, Ronald (Annette Dreibelbis) Sarratore, of Niles; six grandchildren, Jennifer Sarratore, Derek (Amanda) Sarratore of Benton Harbor, Tyler (Chelsea Saucier) Gardiner of Niles, Nathan Vergon of Dowagiac, Grace Sarratore, and Isabella Sarratore both of Lansing, three great-grandchildren, Emmitt, Brayden and Archer Sarratore. Andy is also survived by siblings; brother, Frank "Sparky" Sarratore, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Fellows of Benton Harbor, sister -in-law, Ann Johnson of Addison, Illinois, his nieces, Rhonda Baker of Niles, Char Sarratore of South Bend, nephews Doug Sarratore and Chris Johnson, best friends, Cork (Tracy) Baugher, Carol Benjamin, Gary (Jane) Frucci, Lois Ramsay, Bobby (Tasha) Thornton, Chris (Kim) Simpson and Tim Ramsay.
Special thanks to nurse Tami and all of the hospice members.
In keeping with Andy's wishes cremation has taken place and his family will remember him privately.
