It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, Andrew Benjamin Sherman. Andrew left us far too soon on August 14th at the age of 32 and is survived by his parents, Harry and Alison (née Stepko) Sherman, and sister Emily (née Sherman) Weller and her husband, Karl Weller, Jr.

Andrew graduated from Lake Forest High School in Illinois with the class of 2011. Following graduation he attended UCLA and College of Lake County. He was a professional fashion model with IMG Models in New York City. Most recently he worked in the insurance industry.

Andrew loved animals, music, foreign languages, books, video games, and outdoor target shooting. He was happiest when he was close to water and mountains. He had a quick, witty sense of humor and a contagious laugh to match. He was constantly on a deep quest for knowledge on countless subjects and loved sharing his findings.

Andrew was very sentimental and never left a word of admiration unsaid. Over the years, he made dozens of friends all over the globe and spent much of his time keeping in touch with them and celebrating their accomplishments.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Andrew was predeceased by his grandfathers, William Stepko and Phil (Jack) Wallen, and uncle Patrick Wallen. In addition to his immediate family, Andrew is survived by his grandmothers, Pat Stepko and Joyce Wallen, and grandfather, Bill Sherman, his aunts and uncles, Susan and Chris Zanke, Bill and LeAnn Sherman, Joe and Charlee Wallen, Carolyn Wallen, Tara Gray Mals, Cindy and David Kirkpatrick, and Kenny and Mabel Eckert. Andrew is also survived by many loving cousins and other extended family.

Private memorial services were held in McMurray, Pennsylvania on Monday, August 18th, 2025. If you would like to honor Andrew's life, please consider making a donation to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.NAMI.org), which was a cause close to his heart.
