Andrew Robert Turner, 59 of Reading, Pa.; left this life on Saturday, July 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Andrew was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Lightfoot) Turner. He is survived by a brother Albert C Turner; and two sisters, Ramona D Turner Turpin, and Yvette L. Dawson, all of Reading. He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Marcus Gibson. In addition to his sibling, he left many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Andrew was a 1981 graduate of Reading Senior High School. He continued his education at Pace Institute graduating with an associate degree in Specialized Electronics.
Andy, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, loved music and was an avid record collector, owning thousands of Vintage Vinal. For many years he owned and operated Music Memories Record Store in Reading, where is sold records, cassette tapes, CDs and equipment with his brother Albert. He was a featured DJ for the Keystone Soul Weekender in Central Pennsylvania and for Soul Finger in New York City.
His love of music ignited his love for travel, spending lots of time in the United Kingdom to participate in the Northern Soul Music Events. Through his travels to the UK he met friends that would become his second family.
Until his passing, Andy worked at M-Tech Control, where he built electrical control panels. There he was loved and respected, quickly becoming part of the M-Tech family.
To know Andy is to know that he did things his way. He will be greatly miss by all who knew and loved him.
A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 13 at Hope Lutheran Church, 601 N Front St, Reading. A viewing will be held at the church from 12:00 PM until the time of services. Burial will be private.

You were a truly incredible, calm and quite fella, with amazing taste for classic soul music and an integral part of Keystone Soul Weekender. It will be impossible not to miss you, but I will continue to celebrate you and your music legacy. Keep the faith my soul brother, you will remain forever in my memories.

I'm deeply saddened by the passing of Andy! Such a nice guy, and taken from us way too soon. I had the pleasure of knowing Andy for over 35 years. I will miss him! The picture was taken at our company's outing at a Reading Royals game.

Andrew was a friend. We knew each other through record collecting. Everybody who ever met him loved him. He will be missed by many. Here's a photo with him at a record show where I was selling with another mutual friend on the right.
