Bruce Krouse Obituary
Bruce Krouse, 70, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at River's Bend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Reading, on December 29, 1955, he was a son of the late Harry and Florence (Ziegler) Krouse. Bruce was a graduate of Reading Senior High School.
In his thirties, he moved to Harrisburg where he spent the next twenty years with his then wife, son and two step daughters. He had worked as a Flooring installer for Middletown Floors prior to accepting a position as a Cook at the U.S. Army Depot where he was employed for 20 years until his retirement.
From a young age, Bruce developed a love for fishing and hunting under the guidance of his father, interests that later became some of his greatest joys, especially when he was able to share and pass them on to his own son. He deeply valued time spent with family and friends and was known for his involvement in local pool hall and dart teams, where many lasting friendships were formed.
A skilled and creative woodworker, Bruce took great pride in building things for his son to enjoy while growing up, including a tree house, skate ramps, and many other projects crafted by hand. He found happiness in simple moments, whether it was spending evenings playing cards with friends or cheering from the sidelines while watching his son play baseball.
In his later years, Bruce found comfort and enjoyment in watching the Cowboy football games and following the Philadelphia Phillies, often sharing stories and memories from his life with his son. Above all, he cherished his granddaughter Raelea deeply, and the time spent with her brought him immense joy. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and treasured memories shared with those closest to him.
Bruce is survived by his son, Jeremy Krouse and step daughters, Amy Sturtz (Josh Adelman) and Lisa Sturtz (Erin Doherty). He is also survived by his granddaughter, Raelea Krouse. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his partner, Joanne Hahn; a daughter and his siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Middletown Cemetery, 675 North Spring Street, Middletown.
