Andy Ciancia, 87, of West Chester, PA  passed away peacefully on May 7, 2022.

Born June 25, 1934 in Chester, PA, he was a son of the late Michael and Philomena  (Melfi) Ciancia.

Andy was the beloved husband of Constance “Connie” (Cosgrove) Ciancia; loving father of Andrea Bruce (Kevin), Paul Ciancia (Diane), Kevin Ciancia (Denise), and Karen Learn (Kevin); and adoring grandfather of 9, and great-grandfather of 4.  He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Andy was the owner of the Old State Tavern in Media, PA for fifty-two years.  Throughout his career he always loved working behind the bar and interacting with his customers.  He was well known for never forgetting a face or name making the Old State a special place to visit.

Andy loved the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles as he was a season ticket holder for over 60 years.

Andy found his greatest joy with family.  He was there for every family celebration, trip to the shore, and even the smallest of family gatherings. He never missed an opportunity to be with the ones he loved.

He was an adoring father who took great pride in his children.  As “Poppop” he loved attending all the  sports, recitals, and concerts of his grandchildren. No matter the event, he was their biggest fan!

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Andy’s name to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016   www.kidney.org

 Services will be private.
