Robert Bryan Chamness, age 69, of West Chester, PA, passed away on August 27, 2025.
Born in Evansville, IN in 1955, he was the son of the late Bob and Joan (nee Bricka) Chamness. Rob, known to some of his old friends as Chad, grew up in Wayne, PA and attended Conestoga High School. After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology, he ran the family business, Keystone Printing Ink, alongside his brothers. Rob met many friends over the years playing softball and golf. He often fielded phone calls as “Rockquest”, navigating road trips for his kids and their friends before GPS. Rob was a sports enthusiast and coached baseball and football. An avid supporter of his nine grandsons, he loved cheering them on at sporting events from the sidelines.
Robert was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Deborah (nee Munsell) Chamness, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage; loving father of Christine Hamilton (Kevin), Chad Chamness (Kollene), Eric Chamness (Danielle), and Greg Chamness (Lyla); caring grandfather of Ryken, Logan, Louis, Blake, Everett, Lane, Finn, Kevin, and Reed; dear brother of Cheryl Strickland (Dan), Phil Chamness (Shannon), Kathy Smith (Mark), and Brad Chamness (Jen); supportive uncle to many nieces and nephews; predeceased by his siblings, Stephen and Scott.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:30 AM Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment private.
