It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Zachary “Zac” McLaughlin, 42, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend. Zac passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and sharp-witted humor that could brighten even the heaviest day.
Zac’s greatest joy was his two boys, Dylan and Ryder. Whether exploring outdoors, enjoying the ocean, or simply being together at home, he poured his whole heart into fatherhood. He was a steady presence — a dad who showed up fully and consistently.
He shared a deep and joyful partnership with his wife, Alicia, built on adventure, inside jokes, and unwavering support. Their home was filled with laughter, loyalty, and love. Born to his devoted parents, Janice and the late Robert (Bob) McLaughlin, Zac grew up surrounded by strong family bonds that helped shape his generous spirit and sense of humor. He was proudly part of and deeply loved by the Crossman, McLaughlin, Hayes, and Glah families. He also held a special bond with his aunt Paula (Crossman) and his late uncle Paul Pennington, who were like a second family to him throughout his life.
He will be dearly missed by his in-laws, Beth and John Glah, his siblings and their spouses: Teresa (Jonathan) Jordan, Sarah (Cody) Stafford, and John (Pam) Glah, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
A hardworking man with a quiet gift for writing, Zac found meaning in the simple moments and expressed it with honesty, humor, and heart. He was happiest outdoors or by the sea — places that brought him calm and clarity.
To know Zac was to know kindness wrapped in wit, warmth touched with silliness, and a heart that always tried to make life brighter for those he loved. His time here was far too short, but his spirit will live on through his sons, his family, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
