Gerald P. McLaughlin, Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025 surrounded by the comfort of his loving family at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was the son of the late James F. and Anna T. (Sullivan) McLaughlin.
Jerry was born on April 7, 1944 in Boston and was a graduate of Charlestown High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married his late wife Hazel E. (Webber) on October 27, 1984 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Foxborough. He was employed by General Motors from 1967 to 2000.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, gardening and golfing. He was an active member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He was a member of the UAW Local 442 and the American Legion Post 0222. Jerry most enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather
Loving father of Gerald McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Martha of Taunton, Teresa and her husband Gregory Shore of Merritt Island, FL and Brian McLaughlin and his wife Bonnie of Norfolk. Devoted grandfather of Timothy and Ashley, Marc, Eric and Brendan. Great grandfather of Leo and Ezra. He was predeceased by 6 loving siblings: James, Thomas, Daniel, Eugene, John and Mary. Also survived by his faithful dog Buddy.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 2 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 116 South Street, Foxborough.
