Andy Hoover Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Owens Funeral Home - Alexandria on Dec. 11, 2025.
ALEXANDRIA - Andrea "Andy" Edward Hoover of Alexandria laid his burdens down on December 8, 2025, just 17 days shy of his 67th birthday on Christmas Day. Born in Elwood on December 25, 1958, to the late Thomas Hoover and Margaret Peters, he would go on to graduate from Western High School near Kokomo.
Throughout his entire life, Andy was a special soul wholly characterized by a quiet gentleness and never-ending positivity. Kindhearted and caring, he was a friend to all who knew him and was always thinking of others. Andy was as laid-back as they come, preferring the calm and comfort of his home, especially when there were cats around. With a mind like a sponge, he was always willing to learn something new, usually through watching documentaries, and he enjoyed sharing and discussing what he had learned. His greatest passion was music, particularly the Beatles, and he was known for being an exceptional pianist. Above all else, Andy absolutely adored his loved ones, and spent every moment he could visiting and reminiscing with those he cared about most. While his loss leaves an empty space in their hearts and lives, they will always cherish his memory and think on him with the utmost affection and admiration.
Survivors included:
Sister - Sheila Nunamaker
Brothers - Danny (Jenni) Hoover and Carl (Shannon) Hoover
Aunt - Connie (Bob) Webb
Many nieces, nephews, and cousins
Special friend - Juanita
Along with his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Hoover; a nephew, Sammy Seastrand; his step-mother, Iona Hoover; and his step-father, David Peter.
