Andy Ornelas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andy Ornelas. Andy was born on August 14th, 1961, in Greeley, Colorado to Anita Alvarez and Gilbert Ornelas. He passed away on January 31, 2025, in Loveland, Colorado with his family by his side.
Andy graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 1980, he then continued on to a lifelong career in construction, heavy machinery, and most recently self employed as a general contractor. Andy had a passion for classic cars and motorcycles. He was an avid pool shark and sports fan of the Rockies baseball, Eagles hockey, and of course his love of the Raaaaaiders football team. Weather you knew him as Andy, "AO", or "Mom's princess" he was always known for his infectious enthusiasm and notorious smile. He was always the life of the party and quick with a joke. Andy touched countless lives and will be missed by all who knew him.
Andy is survived in death by his Mother Anita Alvarez, Son Joshua Clarke (Marie Loftus), sister Sara Hernandez (Victor Basto), uncle Juan Alvarez, aunt Tita Alvarez, aunt Elizabeth Alvarez, cousin Enrique Alvarez (Susie Wells), cousin Victoria Alvarez, cousin Virginia Alvarez (Joe Hernandez), nephew Jr. Garcia (Amy Garcia), niece Laura Garcia (Johnnie Martinez), great-nephew Alex Martinez, great-niece Abrianna Martinez, numerous other cousins and half siblings, special friend Melody Sullivan, and best buds Abel Rodriquez and Doug Ramirez.
Memorial Services will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Wednesday February 5, 2025. A rosary service will be held at 1:00pm and services at 2:00pm, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00pm at the funeral home. The family requests that any condolences, flowers, or donations be sent directly to the funeral home.
