John Anthony Portera passed away Monday February 10, 2025 at the age of 48. He was born May 11, 1976 to Rachel Ray and the late Charles Anthony Portera. Andy was the explorer of the family. From a young age, he loved to study maps. As an adult he was able to travel and enjoy all the United States had to offer by working for Royal Trucking.
He was a charmer. He never met a stranger, making everyone he came in contact with crack a smile. He was the ultimate girl Dad. From the time he became a father, he protected, loved, and taught his girls about life and the importance of family.
He was an avid bulldog fan from a young age and enjoyed watching them play every sport, which led him to get his daughters involved in softball. You could find him on a softball field, fishing pond, or the beach and know he was at peace.
