M. Portera Obituary
She leaves behind her sister, Anne K. Spaulding (George), her children, Stephanie Portera Jabes (Aaron) and Jeanette Portera Milby, her grandchildren, Anthony P. Milby and Andrew P. Milby, and her 18 nieces and nephews.
Doris worked as a secretary at First NBC for many years before going to work at PARC School for special needs adults. She was an avid bowler and a devout Catholic.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, La. 70001 on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM with a Mass starting at 2:00 PM. Burial will be immediately thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Dementia Society of America.
