Charles Andrew Spivey, affectionately known as "Andy," passed away peacefully at his home on January 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 9, 1951, in Richmond County, NC, Andy grew up in a close-knit family and was a proud graduate of Ellerbe High School, Class of 1971.

For 28 years, Andy dedicated his professional life to sales at House of Raeford Farms, where he became a well-respected figure in the industry. Known for his engaging personality, he possessed a remarkable gift of gab and had a talent for telling jokes that brought joy to those around him.

Avidly passionate about life, Andy was a lover of history and a devoted fan of NASCAR racing. His enthusiasm for The Beatles' music resonated with many, sharing the timeless tunes of the legendary band with family and friends alike. An avid golfer, he found great pleasure in participating in the sport, often enjoying vibrant rounds on the course.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife, Willa Carter Spivey; his two daughters, Mary Ann Spivey Hairfield (Doug) and Amanda Spivey Baker (Jared); and his cherished grandchildren, Annabelle Hairfield, Parker Hairfield, Colin Baker, and Owen Baker. He is also remembered fondly by his sisters, Sandra Richardson and Robin Gentry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Spivey; his mother, Edna Norton Spivey; and his brothers, Ronnie Spivey, Larry Spivey, and Marc Spivey.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Andy will be held on January 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, NC. Andy’s legacy of love for his family, his humor, and his zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
