Angela J. Pacifico

Angela J. Pacifico AmsterdamAngela J. Pacifico, 60, passed away Monday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. She had been a resident at Mount Loretto, now Capstone after a disability retirement. Born in Amsterdam, December 30, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Angelina Coluni Pacifico. She was a graduate of the former Wilber H. Lynch High School, Class of 1969, and also the Spencer Business School. Angela was first employed at the office of Dr. Coe and later as a punch press operator with the General Electric Co. of Schenectady. She retired from that position due to a disability. She was a member of the former St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are a brother, Anthony Pacifico and wife, Ginny of Land of Lakes, Florida; one sister, Josephine Bertrand and husband, Mike of Amsterdam; four aunts, Josephine Materazzo and husband, Pat of Sidney, NY, Emma Belli of Italy, Audry Pacifico of Ohio and Mini Pacifico of Orange City, Florida. Also one niece and one great-niece. Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the DeStefano Funeral Home, Route 5S, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
