Angela Phillips

Angela Blackmon Phillips passed away July 28, 2025, at the age of 64, following a brief but strong fight against cancer. She was a native and resident of Wake Forest. Angie was a loving mother, wife and a beautiful soul who would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed going to the beach, music, and gardening. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family, and her beloved dog Ginger and cat Trixie. The family would like to thank the Rex Oncology and Hospital Rehabilitation team for their dedication, care and compassion.
Although Angie is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband Clyde J Phillips Jr; her children, Kimberly Phillips and Joe Phillips III; sister, Merry Ellen Tunstall her husband Kenny Tunstall; nieces Crystal Campbell, Sandra Tunstall and nephew Jay Tunstall
Preceded in death by parents Ida Mae Blackmon and Melvin Blackmon; brother Kenny Blackmon. a Celebration of Life will be held 1:00PM Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Cremation Society of the Carolinas Center in Raleigh.
