Angela Sue Roach
August 15, 1965 – July 24, 2024
Angela "Angie" Sue Roach, age 58 of Lynchburg, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
She was known to most as Angie, but to her family, she was the best wife, mom, Nomi and more. Being a mother and grandmother was her pride and joy, and she never let a day go by without letting them know how much she loved them. Angie lived a full life of adventure and joy. She loved attending her grandchildren's activities including soccer, football and baseball games. She cherished trips to new places and making memories with her loved ones. She never went more than a couple weeks without seeing her girls and would drive long distances just to get a quick hug.
She was a proud graduate of Moore County High School Class of 1983. She cherished her classmates and contributed to planning regular class reunions. She was a dedicated employee of Schmiede Corporation since 1998. Angie enjoyed working at Schmiede, she truly cared for her co-workers, and they brought her much laughter.
She enjoyed waking up early, drinking her morning coffee, making lists and checking on her loved ones. She was the most selfless person, never forgetting birthdays, anniversaries and always celebrating every accomplishment of her kids and grandkids. She loved fishing, walking, caring for her plants, and just being outdoors.
Angie was the daughter of the late Nolan Emmett and Barbara Sue Thrower. She lovingly cared for her parents for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years William Van Roach; daughters, Callie Sue (Michael) McKelvey of Hartselle, AL, Katie Beth Nolen (David Edwards) of Cleveland, TN; step-daughter, Tiffany (Stephen) Mack of Portugal; step-son, Lance Roach of Wartrace, TN; grandchildren, Camryn McKelvey, Colton McKelvey, Reed McKelvey, Cason Mack, Annalea Mack, Merritt Mack, Carter Roach; brothers, Nicky (Anita) Thrower of Lynchburg, Toby Thrower (Fred Rulapaugh) of Nashville; brothers-in-law, Shane (Tess) Roach of Greenbrier, TN, and Lon (Amber) Roach of Greenbrier, TN; nephews, Matt (Dana) Thrower of Walterboro, South Carolina, Josh (Marcy) Thrower of Lynchburg; nieces, Emily (Chris) Hurd of Mahomet, Illinois, Caitlin (Stephen) Williams of Pleasant View, TN, and Raylon Roach of Greenbrier, TN, and so many other cherished family members, friends and neighbors.
If Angie were here today, she would tell you to spend time with your family and friends. Chores can wait, take off work, give them a hug. Tell them how proud you are of them. Love all over them and invest in quality time with them. They need you. She certainly lived this way, and her family will never question how much she loved them.
