Angela Sue Scott

Funeral services for Angela "Sue" Braley Scott, 75, of Vidalia, LA will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 3 PM on Saturday December 27, 2025 with Bro. Michael Easter officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the church before the service on Saturday from 1 PM until 3 PM.

Sue was born on Tuesday, August 1, 1950 in Springhill, LA and passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 with her family by her side. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia, LA where she served as secretary for 20+ years. After graduating from Vidalia High School, Sue went to work at Temple Auto Supply where she met her future husband, Larry Scott. After leaving Temple she worked at Scott Tractor for over 20 years until they closed. She ended her professional career at Delta Bank retiring in 2021 after 20 years of service.

She married Larry on Saturday, August 5,1978. They loved taking vacations to the mountains, and just spending time together. She loved her family and siblings deeply. Though she was unable to have children of her own, she poured her heart into every moment spent with her nieces and nephews, cherishing each one as a precious gift. In 1985, she met Nancy, a young child living at the Natchez Children's Home. What began as a meeting soon became a lifelong bond; she and Larry would later adopt Nancy, loving and raising her as her own.

She is reunited with the love of her life of 46 years, Larry Scott; parents, John Robert and Nellie Ruth Braley; in-laws, Walter "Scotty" and Marie Scott; paternal grandparents, Jesse Franklin and Gladys Dunn Braley. and her maternal grandparents, Darius Augustus and Lillian McEachern Dean.

Those left to honor Sue's memories are her daughter, Nancy Vail and her husband Danny of Ruston, LA; grandchildren, Dylan Vail and his wife Holley of Minden, LA, Alyssa, Madyson, Noah and Jordan Vail all of Ruston, LA; great-grandchildren, Beau Vail of Ruston, LA, Tate Vail of Minden, LA, and Palmer LaRue Smith of Ruston, LA; bonus grandchildren, Paisleigh, Lannan, Pearl, Canon and Eliza; brothers, Monty Braley and his wife Becky of Natchez, MS, and Tony Braley and his wife Alana of Bastrop, LA; sister Bitsy Raborn and her husband Earl of Shreveport, LA; sisters-in-law, Sue Clark and her husband Russel of Natchez, MS, Karen Mayers and her husband Ronnie of Cleveland, MS, and Patricia Gousset of Natchez, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Vail, Noah Vail, Jordan Vail, Logan Smith, Scott Cobb and Monty Moore Braley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Crooks, Junior Bozeman, Monty Braley, Tony Braley, and Earl Raborn.
