Imon Dawkins Obituary

at RiverBridge Hospital. He was born on September 28, 1942 in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
He graduated from Fayette High School. He was married to Betty Jean Campbell on
November 28, 1975.
Imon retired from Lakeside Ford as Service Manager. After retirement, he loved to attend
and record his grandchildren's many activities. Imon was a loving & devoted husband,
father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. One of Imon's most proud
accomplishments was becoming a Master Falconer. He enjoyed the sport for over 30
years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Campbell Dawkins, parents, Ernest Eugene
Dawkins, Sr. and Elsie McDuff Dawkins, and brothers, Ernest Dawkins, Dr. Walter
Erwin Dawkins II.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Imon Dawkins & wife Emily of Ferriday and son,
Michael Dustin Dawkins of Vidalia, brother, Stephen Fairley Dawkins of Vicksburg,
grandchildren, Emma Dawkins, Olivia Dawkins, Bella Dawkins and Dru Dawkins.
Graveside services will be held at Damascus Baptist Church, Brookhaven, Mississippi on
Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1PM with John Alwood officiating under the direction of
Young's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dustin Dawkins, Stephen Imon Dawkins, Jason Randall
Maxwell, Bradley Rex Burget, Ashley Freeman Prunty and Luke Eugene Reeves.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Walter Erwin Dawkins III, Collin Wade Taunton, Dru
Dawkins, Brandon Steed and Ryan Steed.
