Angela Michelle Shaw (Bowe), a vibrant young mother of four, passed away on
December 8, 2025, at the age of 38. She was born on November 12, 1987, in
Washington, D.C., to Thomas and Mary Bowe. She graduated from ADM High School in
Adel, Iowa, and later attended La 'James College in Johnston, where she earned her
cosmetology license. She was a natural in her field, hardworking and dedicated to her
regular customers.
Born with a spark for life and a joyous love for people, Angela brought an 'energetic
spunk' to the world around her. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Angela had a
zeal for competition. In her early years, she excelled in soccer and volleyball, and found
great fulfillment in the camaraderie they offered. She loved staying active, laughing with
friends, and surrounding herself with those she cared about.
Of all her accomplishments, however, Angela's greatest joys - and the true trophies of
her heart - were her four beautiful children. Her first-born son, Blayne Daugherty, was
born in 2007. In 2012, she married Justin Shaw, and together they welcomed their son,
Jameson, and daughter, Tyler. They later divorced. In 2022, Angela's family continued
to grow with the birth of her second daughter, Ryder Wilson. Although she didn't always
have the ability to show it, during moments of strength and clarity, she spoke of her
children with immense pride and sought after their success and security with
determination.
For many years, Angela faced the challenges of alcoholism and drug addiction. Amidst
these ongoing struggles, she fell many times, but with courage and perseverance, she
fought to stand again and again. In the end, her body simply could not bear the fight any
longer, but throughout her struggles, Angela's children remained the driving force that
carried her in her fight for sobriety. May Angela's legacy live on in her beloved children
who carry her strength and bright spirit through the world.
Angela leaves behind her mother, Mary Bowe, her brother, Kieran Bowe, her children,
Blayne, Jameson, Tyler, and Ryder, numerous relatives and countless friends. She is
preceded in death by her father, Thomas Bowe, and grandparents Donald and Lennette
Flammang and Thomas and Mary Bowe. She will be missed by all who knew her.
