Angela Annette Sims

Angela Annette Sims (Ann), 64 of Navarre, FL, left this world on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, to take up residence with her heavenly Father. A native of Crestview, Ann was the fourth of five children born to Earl and Mary Lawson.

Proud mother, nurturing grandmother, devoted wife, faithful sister, joyful aunt and trustworthy friend, she was the epitome of a daughter of God. Ann was passionate about both her family and her church. She brought joy to everyone she encountered, was welcoming and warm, gifted in the kitchen, a selfless caregiver to her husband, a friend and mother to many, and a fighter until the very end. Ann loved being a "Monna" to Bentley and Aiden, drinking coffee on her front porch, singing on Sunday mornings with her church praise team, and the occasional "table talk" lunches with her best girlfriends. Ann's attitude in life was reflected in her favorite saying, "I can do hard things". During her path to a second transplant, she would repeat that many, many times. Not once did she give up, waver, or doubt the healing power of her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Fletcher Lawson, mother, Mary Louise Sanford Lawson, sisters, Cynthia Kay McGowin and Joy Vannessa Lawson, brother, Marcus Earl Lawson, and nephew, Marcus Anthony Lawson.

Ann is survived by her husband Sidney Ray Sims of Navarre, FL, daughter Melanie Marie Sims of Navarre, FL, sons Patrick Aaron Sims (Melissa) of Cantonment, FL and Christopher Jacob Sims of Navarre, FL, grandsons Aiden and Bentley Sims of Cantonment, FL, and sister Mary Lawson of Pueblo, CO.

Funeral services for Ann Sims will be held at 12pm Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home with Pastor Buck Dockery officiating. Burial will follow in Heritage Garden in Niceville, FL.
