Angela Marie Ushery was born on April 11, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jake and Lurlene Ushery. She attended both Porter and Taft and was born and raised in the West End community. Angela was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was the pillar of our family that kept everything and everyone together. Not only was she our mother and sister, she was also our friend, confidant and protector. It was not unusual for her to lend a helping hand to those in need. She will always be remembered as being strong, independent and dependable. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and communicating on the phone to friends and families.
Angela is preceded in death by her brothers, Larry, James, Rodney, Charles, Gerald, Daniel, Stanley and Stephen. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, LaWanda Vinegar; grandson, Douglas Runyon; longtime love, Anthony Rucker; five siblings, Robin, Joyce, Roxanne, Carla and Pierre. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
