Angelina Piccolomini

Born March 3, 1931, Angelina C. Piccolomini was the last of six children born in Manhattan to Isabella & Egidio Auletta. Angie grew up roller skating and dancing on Spring, Sullivan, & Thompson Streets in Little Italy. After the family moved to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Angie attended Bay Ridge HS where her artistic flair was cultivated. She graduated from high school and went to work as a secretary before marrying Joseph Piccolomini. Once they started a family, the couple moved to Staten Island in 1962 where they raised three children. Angie encouraged her children to be active in sports, have an interest in music, and enjoy reading. Baseball was her favorite, and she raised three Mets fans. She was a PTA member when her children were in St. Teresa's, and was a part-time gym teacher there for a short time. Angie spent over twenty years working for A. Panza & Sons and retired at the age of 78. She remained active with her friends in social clubs on Staten Island and New Jersey. Angie and Joe enjoyed their marriage for nearly 60 years before Joe passed away in 2011. The joys of her life revolved around her children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend group who supported her throughout life's events. Angie is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends. Her laughter, positivity, and spirit are what will be missed the most.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 Route 516, Old Bridge, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, 9:30 am at the St Thomas the Apostle, Old Bridge, NJ.
Entombment to follow at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery.
